Félicie Schlesser was born on 27 May 1883 in Oberfeulen to Pierre Schlesser and Marguerite Reiter.
In 1905 she married the locomotive driver François Erpelding in Hollerich, who was a member of the Chamber of Deputies from 1920 to 1940, first for the Kartell party and then for the Workers' Party.
