Who is she?

Félicie Schlesser was born on 27 May 1883 in Oberfeulen to Pierre Schlesser and Marguerite Reiter.

In 1905 she married the locomotive driver François Erpelding in Hollerich, who was a member of the Chamber of Deputies from 1920 to 1940, first for the Kartell party and then for the Workers' Party.

As the mother of three children, Florence, Félix and Jean-Paul, Félicie stood as a candidate in the municipal elections for the Kartell party in October 1920 in Ettelbruck. Although she was not directly elected, Félicie Schlesser became the first woman member of the municipal council from 1921 to 1928. On 24 September 1921 she succeeded Jean Pierre Jacoby/son, who had resigned on 19 September 1921. She was also vice-president of the federation of municipal councils of the Workers' Party.

She died on 6 January 1970 in Esch/Alzette.
