## Who is she?

Luitgarde rarely appears in historical chronicles. Even her origins are controversial. According to an official document of 8 April 960, Luitgarde was the daughter of Count Wigeric of Bidgau and Cunegund. She was first married to Adalbert, Count of Metz, and then to Eberhard IV, Count of Nordgau. In a letter of donation, the countess offers the hamlet of Mamer to the abbey of St. Maximin in Trier.
