## Who is she?

Caroline Rothermel, born in 1867, was the daughter of Léonie-Hermine Reuter and Jules Rothermel, justice of the peace in Capellen and Remich. In 1887, she married Ferdinand-Edmond-Joseph Baldauff, an engineer, founder of the Société frigorifique and builder of railways in Tunis. With no descendants, Caroline Baldauff-Rothermel is listed on the Roll of Honour of the main benefactors of the Hospice civil de la Ville de Luxembourg.
